Personal Trainers

All Cheshire Fitness Club Personal Trainers are certified and listed alphabetically.

Mary Elizabeth (M.E.) Banks is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Personal Trainer, Wellness Coach and Fitness Coach. She is able to do her training through land based techniques as well as aqua – training (in the pool). M.E. is able to individualize her training programs to meet the needs of clients of all ages, but enjoys working with older adults to promote healthy aging.

Erin Bremer is originally from Michigan, but moved to Montreat with her husband and two boys in early 2011. She is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Personal Trainer and has run her own business as a Personal Trainer for several years. She has experience in teaching exercise, conditioning and movement as well as strength training and she worked as a Fitness Specialist at the Daimler-Chrysler World Headquarters in Michigan. She enjoys creating specific programs for each client based on goals and health limitations. Erin is also a skilled group exercise instructor who has been teaching several classes in the Aerobics Studio since her arrival at the Club.

Crystal Kilgore is certified through the American Council of Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor through NETA. She is also certified in Kickboxing and has been an instructor in a Pilates curriculum in the local area. An accomplished athlete, she excelled in basketball, volleyball and played professionally with the Asheville Splash soccer team. She enjoys personal training (both on land and in the water) with people of all ages in specifically designed programs to meet individual client’ needs. She also teaches water aerobics regularly at the Club.

Jeremy Mahon became a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) after years as a sports and fitness hobbyist (road and mountain bike racing as well as road and off-road running). He believes every person is much stronger and more capable than they believe themselves to be; and loves to prove it. He is especially interested in individual and small-group training sessions and group boot-camp style classes that focus on efficency, intensity and the connection between mind and body.

Cyndi Stanley is certified through the National Endurance and Sports Trainer Association (NESTA) and has been a Fitness Instructor at the Club since 2005 – certified through the National Exercise Trainer Association (NETA). Cyndi has worked in the healthcare industry (registered ARRT-MRI) before pursuing a career in fitness. She enjoys working with people of all ages and fitness levels to help them achieve their own personal health and fitness goals. She particularly enjoys working with seniors on range of motion, balance and stability issues.

Carlos Perez is certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer and Sports Specific Trainer. He holds a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from Western Carolina University and likes to focus on the relationship between nutrition, physical exercise and overall health. Carlos enjoys working with clients of all ages on improving athletic performance, overall health and is available for consultations with individuals and groups on Sports Specific Training.
